Skopje, 30 June 2022 (MIA) – Bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as current developments and security challenges related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine were the focus of President Stevo Pendarovski’s talks with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at a brief meeting during the NATO Summit in Madrid on Thursday. Regarding bilateral relations, President Pendarovski and PM Johnson expressed satisfaction with the development of the overall relations, characterized by mutual friendship, mutual trust and strong partnership. “The President pointed out that the defence cooperation with UK is dynamic with the constant British support to our Army for building military capabilities and interoperability with NATO allies, as evidenced by the recent exercise held in Krivolak in which 2500 British troops participated,” the President’s office said in a press release. President Pendarovski expressed gratitude for the British commitment to promoting security, stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans region.
