Parliament's Steering Group for Democratic Development with the Swedish Riksdag pays visit to Stockholm
- Members of the Parliament's Steering Group for Democratic Development with the Swedish Riksdag, including MPs Fadil Zendeli, Maja Morachanin, Martin Kostovski, Aleksandar Veljanovski, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Arbana Pasholi, Halil Snopche, Snezhana Kaleska-Vancheva and Dafina Stojanoska, are paying a study visit to Stockholm on Wednesday and Thursday.
Skopje, 17 January 2024 (MIA) - Members of the Parliament's Steering Group for Democratic Development with the Swedish Riksdag, including MPs Fadil Zendeli, Maja Morachanin, Martin Kostovski, Aleksandar Veljanovski, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Arbana Pasholi, Halil Snopche, Snezhana Kaleska-Vancheva and Dafina Stojanoska, are paying a study visit to Stockholm on Wednesday and Thursday.
The working visit is to also wrap up the cooperation between the Swedish and Macedonian parliaments, initiated and financed by the Swedish Riksdag, which began in 2020 and was implemented through mutual annual study visits dedicated to important issues of parliamentary democracy, the Parliament said in a press release.
Cooperation with the Riksdag also includes exchanges between the parliamentary services, as part of which the Parliament's Secretary General, Cvetanka Ivanova, led a delegation of the parliament, which shared experiences with colleagues from the Riksdag about the work of the legislative house and the work of the parliamentary committees.
Secretary General Ivanova also held a meeting with Secretary General of the Riksdag, Ingvar Mattson, discussing possibilities for future cooperation between the professional services towards strengthening capacities in the areas of strengthening the parliamentary supervision, the work calendar of the legislative house, as well as the role of the parliamentary service in the process of accession to the European Union, reads the press release.
