Parliament cancels all activities in wake of Kochani tragedy

Skopje, 24 March 2025 (MIA) - The Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia cancels all activities scheduled for this week, including press briefings, following the tragedy in Kochani, the Parliament said in a press release. 

The decision was made at Monday's coordination meeting held in the Parliament, in the attendance of Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi, Vice-Speaker Vesna Bendevska, and the coordinators of VMRO-DPMNE, SDSM, Worth It, ZNAM and Levica parliamentary groups, as well as a representative from the Government and the Secretary-General of the Parliament.

"Taking into consideration the feelings of all citizens after the tragedy in Kochani, in honour of all the victims and in the hope that the injured will return to good health as soon as possible, those present unanimously agreed that the Parliament should cancel all activities scheduled for this working week, including press briefings," reads the press release.
