Skopje, 13 December 2023 (MIA) - The procedure for extradition of Ljupcho Palevski, the prime suspect in the murder of Vanja Gjorchevska and Panche Zhezhovski, will take several months, said the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday.

The Ministry said the extradition procedure on the part of North Macedonia is the same for all countries.

It adds that the Ministry has been in continued coordination with Interpol and the Skopje Prosecutor's Office since the day Palevski was arrested, noting that the extradition request was compiled in one day and the suspect was immediately placed under extradition detention.

Palevski was arrested in Turkey last week upon an international arrest warrant.
