Gaza, 16 January 2025 (dpa/MIA) - Hamas authorities in Gaza say that at least 71 Palestinians have been killed since the agreement on a ceasefire with Israel was announced.

According to a spokesman for the Hamas-controlled civil defence in Gaza, at least 71 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in the Palestinian coastal territory since Wednesday evening.

Most of the casualties were in Gaza City. Children and women are reportedly among the dead.

The information could not initially be independently verified.
