Over 19,000 ballots void in mayoral runoffs; 1 in 16 ballots void in Skopje race
Skopje, 3 November 2025 (MIA) — In the mayoral runoffs held Sunday in 33 municipalities nationwide, out of the 345,525 ballots cast, 19,287 (5.6%) were void.
In the City of Skopje mayoral runoff, one in 16 registered voters spoiled their ballots, with 10,528 (6.3%) ballots void out of the 167,575 ballots cast.
Voter turnout in Skopje was 35.33%, down from 49.04% in the first round of the mayoral race. On Oct. 19, out of the 232,581 ballots cast, 12,359 (5.3%) ballots were void.
Voter turnout Sunday nationwide was 47.16%, down from 48.3% for the first round of voting. Out of the 885,085 ballots cast in all municipalities on Oct. 19, 53,724 (6.1%) ballots were void. mr/
