Skopje, 12 February 2025 (MIA) - Police officers found and seized over 150 kilograms of marijuana during a search of a freight truck with Skopje license plates at the Bogorodica border crossing. 

The Interior Ministry said Wednesday the vehicle is believed to have entered the country from Kosovo and was supposed to transit towards Greece, with Türkiye as its destination. 

“The successful action is a result of the excellent interinstitutional cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Customs Administration, and it represents a confirmation of our joint efforts in the fight against organized crime and illicit drug trade,” the Interior Ministry said. 

The Ministry said the investigation would continue in order to identify all involved individuals and the way the transport was organized.
