Skopje, 2 May 2023 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani spoke over the phone Tuesday with Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, briefing him on North Macedonia's decision to join the core group on setting up a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
"This step is another confirmation of our continued support to Ukraine in the fight for justice and shared democratic values. The Russian aggression must stop as soon as possible and perpetrators of war crimes must face justice," said FM Osmani.
Osmani reaffirmed North Macedonia's firm and uncompromised support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while strongly condemning the Russian aggression. He added that the country has undertaken series of steps and measures in response to the Russian military actions and highlighted the support for the Ukrainian people in managing the challenges resulting from the aggression, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
Osmani and Kuleba also discussed the activities within North Macedonia's OSCE Chairmanship and the current security challenges in Ukraine and Europe.
