Skopje, 14 November 2023 (MIA) - OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is set to open a youth conference themed "Youth innovation and entrepreneurship: Creating a sustainable future in the OSCE region", taking place in Skopje on Tuesday.  

The youth forum is held as part of North Macedonia's OSCE Chairpersonship, and brings together youth representatives from OSCE participating States to debate and find innovative solutions on social and environmental issues in their communities through interactive sessions. 

The conference comes as a result of the 2023 OSCE Chairpersonship's central priorities, where the integration of youth perspectives in all three dimensions of the Organization is a very important part. The results and recommendations that will emerge from the forum will be presented at the OSCE Ministerial Council of OSCE that will be held in Skopje at the end of the month, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. 

Special Representative on Youth Memet Zhaku will moderate the opening session. OSCE Secretary General, Helga Schmid, U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE, Michael Carpenter, and Spanish Ambassador to North Macedonia, José Luis Lozano García, will also address the forum.
