Osmani: NATO FMs determined to send further support to Ukraine
Brussels, 6 April 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said the NATO members will discuss Wednesday the sending of reinforced aid to Ukraine, MIA’s Brussels correspondent reports. As NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has pointed out that allies are determined to provide further support to Ukraine, including anti-tank weapons, air-defence systems and other equipment to counter Russian aggression. Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani who is taking part at a meeting of NATO FMs at the Alliance HQ in Brussels on April 6-7, said increased military support for Ukraine will be one of the topics of today's meeting. He reiterated that the military alliance will send a strong message of NATO’s unity and solidarity with Ukraine. Osmani also stressed the importance of NATO's next Strategic Concept, which will also be discussed in the next two days, to strengthen the Alliance's southeast flank. “All aspects should be reflected in this next strategic concept, to strengthen the partnership with the EU and to accelerate the engagement in the Western Balkans in order to strengthen the stability and security of the southeastern flank,” Osmani said before the NATO ministerial meeting.
