Skopje, 16 June 2022 (MIA) - The Russian invasion in Ukraine has disrupted Europe’s stability and security, producing an energy crisis and inflation, and setting new challenges that undoubtedly require joint action and solidarity, both in the European Union and NATO, agreed Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani with Slovak counterpart Ivan Korcok and Czech Deputy FM Ales Chmelar at the sidelines of the Prespa Forum Dialogue in Ohrid on Thursday.
Interlocutors expressed satisfaction from the exceptionally intensive and friendly relations that are reflected through dynamic political dialogue, solid economic cooperation and sectoral collaboration. Czech Republic and Slovakia are North Macedonia’s important partners and friends, but also champions of its foreign policy priorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
In light of the coming Czech EU Presidency, discussions focused on the prospects of unblocking North Macedonia and Albania’s Euro-integration process, the ongoing dialogue with Bulgaria and the possible scenarios, as well as the urgent need for the Union to act in a geostrategic way in the region.
