Osmani: Current momentum to be on fast-track to EU must not be missed

Skopje, 19 July 2023 (MIA) – One year since the beginning of negotiations with the European Union. We never doubted our country’s European future. We are demonstrating a high level of readiness of our administration within the screening process, wrote Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani in a Facebook post Wednesday.

Osmani added “committed, in continuity, we are working for greater integration and benefits for our citizens on the path to full-fledged EU membership.”

“Convinced that the current momentum, to be on the fast track to the EU, must not be missed. We have several months to prepare for the opening of clusters and chapters and continue the negotiating process. We hold the key, it is necessary that we all demonstrate political responsibility, maturity and a responsibility to the country’s present and future,” wrote Osmani.

The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to all the country’s European friends for their unequivocal support on the country’s path to the EU, which, he said, “is a guarantee for long-term stability, economic development and consolidation of the rule of law.”
