Skopje, 13 June 2025 (MIA) - The Electoral Code, which is part of the set of reform laws that should be adopted by the end of June, is ready and the working group has incorporated all OSCE/ODIHR recommendations that were not included in the previous election cycles.

Justice Minister Igor Filkov expressed hope on Friday that the Electoral Code would be adopted by the end of June.

"We have sent the document to ODIHR and we are waiting for their response. I hope we will honor the June deadline and see how the vote goes in Parliament," said Filkov.

Asked if he expects to see the amendments for a single electoral district adopted ahead of the local elections, Filkov responded affirmatively while adding, "let's see what the final version will look like".
