Ombudsman launches free phone line for citizens to report voting rights violations

Skopje, 8 May 2024 (MIA) - During the second round of North Macedonia’s seventh presidential elections and eleventh parliamentary elections on Wednesday, citizens will be able to report any violation of their voting rights on the free phone line 0800 54321 at the Office of the Ombudsman from 7 am to 7 pm.
Besides the free phone line, citizens will be able to report violations of voting rights in person at the Ombudsman’s main office in Skopje, located at Macedonia street No. 19 (opposite the Mother Teresa Memorial House), as reported Tuesday by the Office of the Ombudsman.
Free phone lines will also be available on Election Day in the regional offices in Strumica (034) 329-996, Kichevo (045) 228-586, Tetovo (044) 344-082, Bitola (047) 242-310, Shtip (032) 389-701 and Kumanovo (031) 431-488, reads the press release.
The Ombudsman, aiming to protect citizens' voting rights, will take urgent measures to ensure effective action by the competent authorities involved in the electoral process and by other institutions that are required to ensure protection of their rights guaranteed, reads the press release of the Ombudsman.
