Skopje, 13 October 2025 (MIA) - The number of tourists in August 2025 was 226,179, of whom 48% were domestic tourists and 52% foreign tourists, mostly from Turkey (49,093), followed by Serbia (10,309), Romania (5,202), and the Netherlands (5,075), the State Statostical Office said on Monday. 

According to the State Statistical Office, the number of nights spent in August 2025 was 846,221, of which 73.4% are realised by domestic and the other 26.6% are realised by foreign tourists.

In the January – August 2025 period, compared to the same period in 2024, the number of tourists increased by 6.8%: the number of domestic tourists decreased by 1.4%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 11.6%. The number of nights spent increased by 1%: the number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 4%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 8.1%.
