North Macedonia unveils Olympic team to compete in Tokyo
Skopje, 14 July 2021 (MIA) – A total of eight athletes will represent North Macedonia at this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo. They were presented Wednesday at the Macedonian Olympic Committee in Skopje. North Macedonia’s Olympic team include: Mia Blazhevska (swimming 100m); Borjan Brankovski (shooting 10m. air rifle); Dejan Georgievski (taekwondo 80kg+); Filip Derkoski (swimming 400m.); Puleksenija Jovanoska (karate kata); Magomedgadzi Nurov (freestyle wrestling – 97kg); Arbresha Rexhepi (judo – 52kg); and Jovan Stojoski (track and field 400m). The Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo will take place from July 23 until August 8, 2021, after it was postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Dejan Georgievski will carry the Macedonian flag at the opening ceremony.
