Skopje, 3 December 2021 (MIA) — The Agency for Support and Promotion of Tourism head Ljupcho Janevski at a meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine Natalia Zadorozhniuk, Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Vitaliy Zahainy, and travel industry representatives exchanged experiences and ideas on promoting several types of tourism in both countries, beginning with medical and cosmetic surgery tourism. According to the official press release, the Lviv district is known for its medical and cosmetic surgery tourism, featuring thermal waters, spa, wellness and dental services, which have been offered in several international markets. During their first visit to North Macedonia, Ukraine’s representatives agreed on the next steps toward greater networking and promotion of the two countries’ private tourism sectors, including possibilities to cooperate in adventure tourism, cultural tourism, and gastronomic tourism as well. The Ukrainian initiative to partner with representatives of the local travel industry follows the launch of the first direct Skopje–Kyiv flight, the release adds. mr/
