North Macedonia takes second win in FIBA EuroBasket 2025 pre-qualifiers
Skopje, 29 August 2022 (MIA) – The Macedonian national basketball team made it two wins from two in the opening window of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 pre-qualifiers as they edged out Slovakia for a 79-75 win on Sunday.
Slovakia mostly took the lead in the game played at Skopje’s Kale Sports Hall, but persistence of North Macedonia’s “red-yellows” got them success on home soil.
Nenad Dimitrijevic played a key role with 20 points and 7 assists, alongside top performance by Andrej Jakimovski and Vojdan Stojanovski with 15 points.
In the second game in Group D, Norway scored a 99-75 win at home to Denmark.
North Macedonia and Norway now sit at 2-0 in their group to get the second round underway.
