North Macedonia special forces take part in multinational exercise in Greece

Athens, 6 September 2024 (MIA) - Special forces from North Macedonia, United States, France, Italy, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Austria, Poland, Egypt, and host country Greece are participating September 2-13 in multinational exercise "ORION 24" in the region of Attica, MIA reports from Athens.
A number of complicated scenarios on land, sea, and air will take place within the exercise, with the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA) releasing photos and videos of the exercise on social media.
According to Greek media, scenarios include the liberation and recapture of a small island in the eastern Aegean Sea, which is also a scenario with a high operational weight, including a commando exit from a submarine.
Other exercises included are night and day parachuting, parachuting from helicopters into sea, the use of weapons and snipers, neutralization of explosive devices, and giving first aid.
