No confirmed case of monkeypox in North Macedonia: health ministry
Skopje, 10 August 2022 (MIA) - There is no hospitalized patient at the Infectious Diseases Clinic suspected to have monkeypox. As regards the patient who's been mentioned in the media, according to the information from the Kichevo Hospital, this is a patient whose health condition is good and his lab results are in order, and who has been given testing recommendations, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
A team of epidemiologists that will conduct an epidemiological survey is being put together at the moment.
Testing materials have not yet been delivered to the Public Health Institute up to this moment, and there are no confirmed monkeypox cases in North Macedonia at the moment, the Ministry said. dk/nn/
