No complaints filed to SEC so far over process of election, counting and verification of results
Skopje, 18 October 2021 (MIA) – No complaints have been filed to the State Election Commission (SEC) so far, over the election process, and the process of counting and verification of election results. According to the SEC, of the 286 complaints over protection of the voting right, 217 have been accepted on Election Day. Complaints over the election process are filed within 48 hours after the end of the voting, whereas complaints over the process of counting and verification of the election results are filed 48 hours after preliminary results are announced. According to the SEC, deadlines expire depending on the time when voting ended in each of the municipalities. The SEC is to adopt a decision within 72 hours upon receiving a complaint, and submit the decision via e-mail. The decision is then considered to be submitted within five hours. Complainants may appeal to the Administrative Court against the decision of the SEC within 24 hours upon receiving the decision.
