Skopje, 21 August 2024 (MIA) - Nine prescription medications, including medications for high blood pressure, heart conditions, depression and dementia are being added to the Positive List of Prescribed Drugs.
Health Minister Arben Taravari told media Wednesday that the medications in question are nine generic drugs represented through 87 medications.
“We are talking about 87 medications in various forms, strength and packaging which are actively registered in our country, nine generic drugs represented through 87 medications. They include drugs for high blood pressure, heart conditions, antiplatelet drugs, drugs for depression and dementia,” Taravari said.
The Minister said the process involved experts who worked on several legal amendments, the drafting of a new rule book with European practices and a new methodology for the addition of medication to the Positive List of Prescribed Drugs.
“This is only the beginning of the process of expanding the positive list,” Taravari stressed.
