Nikoloski in visit to Budapest for informal EU transport ministers meeting 

Skopje, 19 September 2024 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski will pay a two-day working visit to Hungary on Thursday and Friday, where he will participate in a meeting of the transport ministers of the European Union.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the informal meeting in Budapest will discuss priorities in the transport sector as key for economic integration of the EU and competitiveness. The EU’s transport ministers at the meeting will be joined by the transport ministers of the Western Balkan countries, of EFTA members, as well as Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and representatives of the institutions of the European Union and transport organizations.

The meeting will be composed of two sessions, with the first session focusing on improving the competitiveness of the EU’s transport sector, while the second session will focus on the rail sector.

The ministerial meeting is organized by Hungary within the frameworks of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
