Skopje, 9 February 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday a new investment would be launched by the end of February, with about 15 potential investors currently in the final stages of negotiations.

"We are in the final stage of negotiations with about 15 companies that want to invest in the country. I expect that most of them will be realized. A groundbreaking event for an investment worth EUR 25 million and opening 200 new jobs is expected by the end of the month, with 5 or 6 others either launching the construction of facilities or deciding about investing in the country between March and June," PM Mickoski told reporters.

According to him, he expects the figure of EUR 1.04 billion of foreign direct investments as of November to increase for the whole of 2024.

"The National Bank will release this data by the end of the month, so we expect the country to have the largest number of FDIs per capita in the region," noted Mickoski.
