Nearly 1,5 million mobile internet users in 2022: AEC

Skopje, 3 July 2023 (MIA) - The number of internet users over the mobile network stood at 1,458,377 by the end of 2022, says the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC).

A1 Macedonia holds the largest share at 48.66 percent, closely followed by Makedonski Telekom with 47.50 percent. Lykamobile's share is 2.05 percent, Robi - 1.64 percent, Green Mobile - 0.12 percent, and MTEL - 0.03 percent.

The number of active mobile subscribers reached 1,932,871 by the end of 2022, of whom 739,078 are pre-paid, 944,394 residential post-paid, while 249,399 business post-paid.

Regarding the total number of active subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2022, Makedonski Telekom and A1 Macedonia have the same share at 47.83 percent, then Lykamobile - 2.88 percent, Robi 1.23 percent, MTEL - 0.12 percent and Green Mobile 0.11 percent.

Concerning revenues from mobile telecommunications services (retail level) in Q4, Makedonski Telekom tops the list with 51.12 percent, followed by A1 Macedonia - 47.2 percent, Robi - 0.86 percent, Lykamobile - 0.66 percent, Green Mobile - 0.12 percent and MTEL - 0.03 percent.

AEC says the number of landlines in Q4 stood at 438,586 of which 51.2 percent are managed by Makedonski Telekom, while 42.29 percent by A1 Macedonia.
