Skopje, 9 May 2023 (MIA) — Renowned Kosovo painter Hajrush Fazliu's solo exhibition titled "Image in Focus" will open at the Chifte Amam gallery on Tuesday evening.

According to a National Gallery press release, Fazliu's paintings mix traditional expressionism "with the irrational fantasy of surrealism, while forever preserving the associative allusive, abstract link between formal and stylistic views." 

Hajrush Fazliu (b. 1949 in Karachevo near Gjilan) is one of the most important contemporary Albanian painters in Kosovo. He graduated from the Figurative Art Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Skopje in 1972 and from the Sculpture Department at the Prishtina Faculty of Arts in 1980, where he also obtained his MA in 1997. He has won several awards for his work, had many solo exhibitions and taken part in numerous group exhibitions around Europe. mr/
