Museum of Skopje hosts multimedia photography exhibition

Skopje, 27 June 2025 (MIA) - The Museum of the City of Skopje hosts on Friday a multimedia photography exhibition titled "Re-Creating the Sight: Looking at Photography with Fresh Eyes", featuring works by young talents from Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.

"Re-Creating the Sight" is the final exhibition of the "Out of Frame: Promoting New Perspectives Through Photography" regional project supported by the British Council.

Led by the Photography Development Centre (Serbia) with Fluid Drum (Montenegro) and the support of the Museum of the City of Skopje, "Out of Frame" makes part of the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans (CC4WB), a project funded by the European Union. CC4WBs aims to foster dialogue in the Western Balkans by enhancing the cultural and creative sectors for increased socio-economic impact.

According to the organizers, the exhibition features striking and deeply personal works that explore identity, everyday life, and the spaces that shape us. Born from an intensive creative process, through creative exchange, mentorship, and collaboration, these images offer fresh and unfiltered perspectives, challenging convention and opening space for new narratives.

Partners and mentors including Slavica Hristova, curator at the Museum of the City of Skopje, Aleksandra Ristovska, Dean at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the International Balkan University, Sasho Alushevski, director of the Zrno International Festival of Alternative Photography, Vladimir Jovanovski, director of Malinski photo festival in Kumanovo, Zvezdan Mančić, director of the Vizualizator photo festival in Belgrade, and Dalibor Ševaljević, director of the Tivat Photo Days festival in Montenegro, will attend Friday's event.
