Skopje, 15 September 2025 (MIA) - At the invitation of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani will participate in a meeting of the General Affairs Council of the European Union (GAC) in Brussels on Tuesday, discussing the rule of law.

This is the second time EU candidate countries ministers participate in a formal GAC meeting alongside EU member states. 

The discussion will use the European Commission’s 2025 rule of law report, reviewing the situation along the four pillars of justice systems, the anti-corruption framework, media pluralism, and other institutional issues linked to checks and balances.
