Skopje, 3 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani met Wednesday with the Ambassador of Kosovo Florian Qehaja and discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, with focus on cooperation within the IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme.

Interlocutors concurred that North Macedonia and Kosovo have excellent cooperation within the frameworks of the programme, with a total of 24 joint projects implemented within the IPA I and IPA II programmes, and one joint strategic project at the Belanovce-Stancic border crossing.

Murtenazi and Qehaja agreed that there are excellent capacities for strengthening such cooperation within the frameworks of the IPA III cross-border cooperation programme through joint application of projects and partners from both countries, with the aim of overcoming mutual challenges and providing better socio-economic status for residents in the border regions. ssh/sk/
