Mucunski: Terms of seven recalled ambassadors set to end, new appointments soon

Skopje, 12 November 2024 (MIA) - The terms of the seven recalled ambassadors are ending and this is regular procedure in accordance with the Law on Foreign Affairs. This is not an extraordinary recall but completion of the regular terms of the ambassadors, said Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski on Tuesday.

FM Mucunski was quizzed about the decision of President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova to recall seven ambassadors - Dane Taleski from NATO, Dancho Markovski from Albania, Faton Bejta from Denmark, Sali Limani from Kazakhstan, Shaban Jashari from Qatar, Permanent Representative to the UN Office at Geneva, Teuta Agai-Demjaha, and Marija Efremova from the Holy See.

"Regarding the appointment of new ambassadors and consuls, the process of consultations among the President, the Prime Minister and me are ongoing, and I expect the appointment process to begin soon, taking into account the qualities and qualifications of the persons. Of course, appointing a new ambassador to NATO is one of the priorities, since the term of Ambassador Taleski ends soon after the New Year's holidays," said Mucunski.
