Skopje, 27 September 2025 (MIA) - On the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski participated in an informal working luncheon of the foreign ministers from the Central European Initiative (CEI) member states, within the Serbian Chairmanship.
Talks focused on EU enlargement in the context of current geopolitical challenges and the need for enhanced regional cooperation, Mucunski posted on Facebook.

"We reaffirmed that the CEI remains a key platform for dialogue, solidarity and partnership – values that are the region's greatest strength at times of global change. In addition, we stressed that the integration of the Western Balkans must no longer be delayed, but seen as an investment in the security and stability of Europe," said Mucunski.
Mucunski concludes in his post that the country remains fully committed to the European path - as a geostrategic necessity for a stable and prosperous region.
