Skopje, 11 September 2024 (MIA) - Today’s working meeting with the members of the Spanish Senate Foreign Affairs Committee represents a new moment in the bilateral relations and one more confirmation of the excellent political relations between the two countries, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski wrote in a Facebook post Wednesday.
“Considering the significance of parliamentary cooperation in building diplomatic relations, it was a real honor to speak in front of the members of the Committee about our partnerships within OSCE, NATO and other international organizations, the enlargement of the European Union, the problem of illegal migration, as well as current regional security and political issues,” Mucunski, who is on visit to Spain, wrote in the post.
At the meeting, Mucunski said he noted that the country remains firmly committed to the implementation of European values locally, despite the challenges in the process.
“I thanked them for their support and stressed that integration based on real and measurable criteria instead of bilateral issues is essential for the preservation of the European spirit in the Western Balkan countries,” Mucunski wrote.
