Mucunski: In these difficult moments, it's important to remain united in pain and solidarity

Skopje, 21 March 2025 (MIA) – Yesterday was one of the saddest days for the country. The tragedy in Kochani deeply disturbed me, especially as a person and a parent. In these difficult moments, it is important that we remain united in pain and solidarity. Allow me once again to express my sincere condolences to the families facing this irreplaceable loss, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, wrote on Facebook.

“Our duty as a country is to ensure proper conditions for treatment and full support for the injured. Yesterday, I visited the patients being treated in Croatia and Austria. I spoke with their families and personally witnessed the dedication of the medical staff taking care for their recovery. All expenses for the families' stay are covered by the state, and our diplomatic and consular missions play a crucial role in organizing and implementing medical treatment, as well as supporting the families abroad,” Mucunski said.

He also referred to his, as he mentioned, brief yet successful meetings with his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlić-Radman, which were attended by Croatia's Minister of Health, Irena Hristić. Afterwards, in Vienna, he held a bilateral meeting with the new Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger. During the meetings, Mucunski expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their support, the help they offered, and the solidarity they demonstrated during these difficult times for our country.
