Mucunski in Paris: Active support for export of Macedonian wine to European, global markets

Skopje, 11 February 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, alongside Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov, Ohrid Mayor Kiril Pecakov, as well as the country's Ambassador to France Igor Nikolov, and representatives of Macedonian wineries, addressed Tuesday in Paris an event promoting Macedonian wines on the international stage.  

The event took place as part of a working visit to Paris, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, within activities to promote economic diplomacy and increase the country's export opportunities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release. 

"The quality, tradition and competitiveness of Macedonian wines on the European and global markets were showcased before a distinguished audience from the diplomatic corps, cultural and public life, politics and the French wine industry," reads the press release. 

Minister Mucunski underlined that the Macedonian wine is one of the country's most recognizable export products and a significant segment of economic cooperation, noting that the Ministry remains committed to active and strategic support for local producers to further strengthen their international standing and open new market opportunities.
