Skopje, 5 July 2024 (MIA) - Enhancing economic cooperation and attracting larger French investments to the country was at the focus of Friday’s meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Timcho Mucunski and French Ambassador Cyrille Baumgartner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in a press release.

At the meeting, according to the MFA, the Minister and Ambassador expressed their joint satisfaction with the development of excellent bilateral relations.

Mucunski introduced the Ambassador to the priorities of the new Government and the commitment to the reform agenda, with an emphasis on reforms aimed at accelerating the country’s Euro-integration processes.

“Mucunski voiced gratitude over France’s firm support for our EU membership aspirations, noting the necessity of accelerating our Euro-integration process, with the goal of consolidating the economic, political and security stability of the country and the region,” the press release said.
