MoH: All documents ready for inspection, full support for investigation
Skopje, 10 September 2021 (MIA) – The Ministry welcomes the procedure of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the investigation into the cause of the Tetovo modular covid hospital fire in which, “unfortunately, human lives were also lost,” it said in a press release, adding that it submits for inspection the entire documentation on the modular hospitals.
“We inform the public and the investigative bodies that we are at the disposal of all institutions and we want to cooperate and submit the entire documentation we have on the installation of all 17 regional covid centers in the country,” reads the press release.
According to the Ministry, expert technical reports documentation, tests and quality certificates, as well as notifications, statements, decisions and records related to the modular hospitals are available for inspection.
“After the contractor installed the modular containers, they were handed over. The handover was done by engineers from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, as well as representatives of the contractor and the hospitals, thus the modular containers were handed over to the hospitals in full compliance with the technical specifications of the contract,” the press release reads.
The Ministry of Health underlines that not wanting to interfere in the Public Prosecutor's decisions and actions nor to harm the independent investigation conducted by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Prosecutor's Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption, with their prior permission, it is ready to submit the available documentation for inspection.
