Skopje, 1 December 2023 (MIA) — Ahead of Dec. 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an exhibition of artwork by people with disabilities will open at Porta Makedonija, organizers said in a press release.
The exhibition features paintings created at the 12th International Art Colony of the Mobility Macedonia National Association of People with Physical Disabilities. The art colony was held in Ohrid on Oct. 2–7.
On display will be artworks by trained painters and naive artists from North Macedonia and Serbia. Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovana Trenchevska will open the art show.

According to organizers, the art colony is the only one of its kind on the country.
"Artistic potential is not subject to divisions and disabilities," they note, adding that the art colony has shown that "the creative potentials of people with physical disabilities outweigh the prejudice that technique is imperative."
The exhibition is organized by Mobility Macedonia National Association of People with Physical Disabilities. mr/
