Skopje, 19 October 2025 (MIA) – The difference is 3 to 1 in some places, 6 to 1, 7 to 1 in others, while there are also municipalities where it is 10 to 1. In some municipalities SDSM ranks third. Mayors have already been elected in Kisela Voda, Ohrid, Radovish, Gazi Baba, Pehchevo, Delchevo, Gjorche Petrov, Prilep, Bitola, Berovo, Gevgelija, Sopishte, Shtip, Butel, Aerodrom, Jegunovce, Vevchani, and many other places, said VMRO-DPMNE deputy president Vlado Misajlovski at a press conference Sunday.

“We are close to a convincing victory in Strumica. Orce has a convincing lead in Skopje. We are still gathering the figures and we want to be accurate,” Misajlovski said.

Misajlovski said VMRO-DPMNE’s coalition partner is leading in Centar, while Vlen’s Bilal Kasami is leading 2 to 1 in Tetovo. “VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate in Karposh is also leading convincingly, but there will most likely be a second round,” he said.

According to Misajlovski, VMRO-DPMNE could win more than 50 mayoral posts.

Responding to SDSM’s accusation of irregularities, Misajlovski said there is no room for such “an alibi” considering the huge difference in votes.

“They should look for the source and reasons for their debacle within their own ranks. When it comes to DUI, it is clear they have been outclassed. Ali has time to analyze his defeat,” Misajlovski said.
