Minor earthquake jolts Ohrid-Struga region, epicenter in Albania

Skopje, 16 January 2026 (MIA) - A III-magnitude earthquake according to the European Macroseismic Scale jolted the Ohrid-Struga region on Friday at 11:28 am, said the Seismological Observatory within the Skopje-based Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The epicenter of the 3.8-magnitude earthquake was located in Albania, 155km southwest of Skopje.
