Skopje, 19 June 2023 (MIA) - Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski welcomed newly appointed Japanese Ambassador, Otsuka Kazuya, at a meeting on Monday.

Minister Spasovski and Ambassador Kazuya among other topics of mutual interest discussed the cooperation between North Macedonia and Japan and the security situation in North Macedonia. Kazuya expressed satisfaction that he could stay and work in a country that is considered to be one of the safest countries in the Western Balkan region, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.

Interlocutors expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation in specific areas of mutual interest for both countries, reads the press release. ssh/nn/
