Minister Petrovska attends annual security forum in Montenegro
Skopje, 7 October 2022 (MIA) - Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska is taking part Friday in 2BS (To Be Secure) Forum, an annual high-level politico-security forum held in the Montenegrin city of Budva.
Petrovska will address a panel titled "NATO Ready for the Future - Strong and Resilient", alongside Montenegrin Defense Minister Raško Konjević and Sifet Podžić, Minister of Defense of BiH, the Defense Ministry said.
This year's forum will cover several issues and areas viewed as a challenge or regional and global security, including the war in Ukraine and repercussions on the Western Balkans, the fight against disinformation, the EU perspective of the Western Balkans, the accountability of Western Balkans intelligence services, the great geostrategic competitiveness, the importance of the Russia-China alliance, the Open Balkan, etc.
In addition to Minister Petrovska, the annual event will also see addresses by Slovenian President Borut Pahor, Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović, Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mircea Geoana, defense and foreign ministers from the region, academic and experts. Also, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to deliver a video address.
The 12th 2BS - To Be Secure Forum is organized by the Atlantic Council of Montenegro.
