Skopje, 14 August 2024 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani held a farewell meeting Wednesday with the head of the European Union’s Delegation in the Republic of North Macedonia, Ambassador David Geer.

The Minister thanked the Ambassador for the professional and personal engagement during his term and the excellent cooperation with the EU Delegation in the country, “which were exceptionally important for the promotion of cooperation in various areas,” the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

According to the press release, Murtezani assured Ambassador Geer that the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia remains committed to the strategic commitment for full-fledged membership in the Union through the implementation of the necessary reforms and the transfer of European values and standards to the country’s system and society.

The Minister wished Ambassador Geer success in his future career.
