Minister Bekteshi says he held Belgrade meeting over natural gas procurement
Skopje, 9 October 2022 (MIA) - Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi said Sunday he met with representatives of the company proposed to him by VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in Belgrade. It involves entrepreneurs from Serbia, BiH and Slovenia and gas will be provided from Gazprom, according to him.
"I was in Belgrade where I met with representatives of a company registered in Switzerland. Mickoski can reveal the name (of the company), it's not by job," he told a news conference answering journalist's question.
The second company proposed by Mickoski for mazut procurement is from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bekteshi said adding it is expected to send proposals.
"The most important thing is that they provide guarantee for procurement and price and to respect our legal provisions. Once we have the offers, we will inform the public whether they are acceptable or not," the Minister said noting the government will do its best to secure continuity in natural gas supply with the lowest prices.
