Debrca, 17 October 2025 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski told a rally Friday in Debrca that it is clear the party will “finish the job in the first round” and its candidate Zlatko Siljanoski will be the municipality’s new mayor.

He urged mass turnout on election day and called on the citizens to back VMRO-DPMNE. Mickoski reiterated that there are two options in the upcoming elections: “one of them is the informal coalition between SDSM, DUI, and Levica, which has exclusively been running a negative campaign since day one”.

“A campaign of lies, of slander, a campaign in which they once again try to insult the citizens, their intelligence, and play on short-term memory, as if we’ve all forgotten that just a year and a half ago the government in Macedonia was the SDSM and DUI coalition. As if the citizens don’t understand everything they did and as if they’ve forgotten all the scandals that happened back then,” Mickoski said, adding that with such an approach “their campaign and political messaging have simply missed the mark – we’ve heard everything except what projects they’re offering”.

Regarding Levica, Mickoski said “they were a little confused, because now they are looking for a new master, which was Zoran Zaev in the past”.

“Because that’s in their nature, either to lie on social media, fabricate content, take things out of context, thinking that this will earn them some sympathy, or now, to work for the interests of Ali Ahmeti and DUI,” Mickoski added.
