Mickoski on Dodik's speech at St. Sava academy: Didn't expect him to send such messages
- A solemn academy is not the place to send these political messages, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on last night's speech of Republic of Srpska President Milorad Dodik at an event held in Skopje on occasion of the St. Sava holiday celebrated by the Serbian community in the country.
Skopje, 28 January 2025 (MIA) - A solemn academy is not the place to send these political messages, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on last night's speech of Republic of Srpska President Milorad Dodik at an event held in Skopje on occasion of the St. Sava holiday celebrated by the Serbian community in the country.
PM Mickoski said he did not expect the speech, which was full of anti-EU and anti-NATO rhetoric, as well as denial of the Srebrenica genocide, "to abuse the event by sending these messages".
"I vigorously reject and disagree with its content related to anti-EU and anti-NATO rhetoric. I truly did not expect him to abuse this event by sending these messages, because this was, after all, a solemn academy and not a place for these types of political speeches," Mickoski told reporters.
On the institutions that would be affected by the decision of the Trump administration to freeze U.S. aid for projects across the globe, the PM said he did not believe there are state institutions that would be impacted by the decision.
