Skopje, 12 October 2025 (MIA) — Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski on a working visit to the Municipality of Butel inspected Sunday the construction work being done on a new water supply system for the villages of Ljubanci and Ljuboten.

According to the Ministry of Transport in a press release, the construction project is being implemented at the request of local residents after a three-decades' wait for the state to provide them with clean drinking water.

"The project is financed with 106 million denars from the Ministry of Transport budget and it is being implemented with the aim of providing better living conditions for all Butel residents," the release said.

A new water pumping station will be built in place of the existing high-zone reservoir and new water reservoirs will be built for both Ljubanci and Ljuboten.

The project also includes a new water pumping station in Radishani; a pipeline from the Ljuboten water pumping station to the Ljuboten reservoir; and a pipeline from the Ljuboten water pumping station to the Ljubanci reservoir. mr/
