Mickoski - Lammy: Cooperation required in building firm partnership and economic progress

Skopje, 18 July 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met Thursday with the United Kingdom Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, David Lammy, on the sidelines of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit near London.

"We exchanged opinions on current political developments in the region and Europe, and reaffirmed the need for closer cooperation among European countries in the field of security and energy," PM Mickoski wrote in a Facebook post.

We concluded, he adds, that cooperation is required in building firm partnership and economic progress.

"We agreed that the region and the UK share a common interest in the field of security and building regional relations within the Euro-Atlantic process," says Mickoski in the post.

PM Mickoski, First Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti and Minister of Energy, Mining and Minerals Sanja Bozhinovska are taking part at the EPC summit, hosted by British PM Keir Starmer.
