Skopje, 16 October 2025 (MIA) – Two diametrically opposed options are clashing at these local elections, one of them is the informal coalition between SDSM, DUI, and Levica, and the other option is VMRO-DPMNE with its coalition, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski at a rally Thursday in the Municipality of Chair.
Mickoski said the “informal coalition composed of Venko, Ali, and Dimche only has one goal, and that’s to win power at any cost, without values and without shared ideas”.

“In this informal coalition that brought Venko, Ali, and Dimche together we can conclude two key things, the first is they’ve come together to win power at any cost, without values and without a shared idea that ties them together. The second is the pathological hatred for VMRO-DPMNE, which my colleague, university professor Venko Filipche, took even further by saying they didn’t merely hate me, but despise me. This followed immediately after one of their mouthpieces said it would be interesting in this campaign if my dismembered body were found packed in a suitcase. That’s roughly what the SDSM campaign boils down to in these elections. As for DUI, they couldn’t stop mentioning me during the first ten days of the campaign,” Mickoski said.
The VMRO-DPMNE leader said Levica has been trying to find “a new boss, who initially was Zoran Zaev, and now is Ali Ahmeti from Zajas”.
