Lozovo, 25 October 2025 (MIA) - The results from the first round of the local elections clearly show that citizens have opted for the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition, party leader Hristijan Mickoski told a rally in Lozovo on Saturday.
Mickoski backed mayor candidate and incument Boshko Cvetkovski, saying he is a "hard-working young man, a wonderful person and a big Macedonian".
"He has my support, but also the support of the Government, so that we implement a lot of projects here in Lozovo. I am convinced that Boshko will be an even better mayor in the next four years," said Mickoski.
According to him, the party has already won in 33 municipalities, and is leading in another 26, while adding "I expect the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition to have 59 mayors after the runoff."
He urged citizens to go out and vote in masses for the runoff, supporting their coalition, rather than those "who robbed and humiliated Macedonia for seven years".
