Kavadarci, 1 October 2025 (MIA) - There is no greater pleasure than being among the people you have not disappointed. I hold my head high because we have been fighting all battles for a better future of our homeland together. Here we are, faced with another challenge, another election that decides the direction we move forward. As Election Day comes closer, it becomes clear that only one option is the right one, the difference from our opponents is obvious, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski told a rally in Kavadarci late on Wednesday.

"Unlike our oppinents, we do not hold a golden or any other visa for Dubai, we don't ride motorcycles across the roads of our southern neighbor, we do not kneel before Sofia, because we do not have a spare homeland. I hear FIlipche the other day saying SDSM are fighting for their home. If their home is the villa in Chalkidiki, the yacht they spend weeks on end, or the apartments in Dubai, then their slogan is clear," said Mickoski.

The VMRO-DPMNE leader also spoke to the undecided voters and those who hesitate to come out and vote, saying "we need you, the country needs you, because you decide about your own future".

"Maybe your expectations are bigger than what we could do over the past year and a half. But we demonstrated perseverance and commitment to change things. We walked into a decayed system, rotten institutions and piles of problems. We built the foundations over the past months and did not lose hope. We worked for all of you. And that is why we need you, the country needs you, because you decide about your own future. To those who hesitate or don't plan to vote - you are doing a favor to those who want to live off the back of the homeland, who want to see Macedonia divided. Therefore, choose wisely - come out and vote. These are not only local elections but a test of the common will for the Macedonia we want to have. Give us a chance and strength to build the Macedonia you deserve," said Mickoski.

He urged the residents of Kavadarci to vote for incumbent mayor Mitko Janchev and the VMRO-DPMNE list of council members.

One option is the way forward, the other leads backwards. The best is yet to come. So, make the right choice, for you, your place, your future. We are the generation that will not back down," underlined Mickoski.
